So I went ahead and invested in the S-Bot. It turns out that the bot is hosted over at pandorabots.com. The folks at Metaverse Technology mainly build the scripts to tie SL into bots hosted at that site, and also give extra features (such as google define). The bot is based off of ALICE, and you can take the scripts and drop them into any prim you like. I decided to build a chatbot that looks like a robot. The creators also said I could hook into link messages. I am considering bringing the voice box back to life and get this guy spitting out allophones.
